The dance

I danced at church with my sister yesterday. We did This Baby, by: Steven Curtis Chapman. Here is the video. It was an amazing experience to be dancing and trying to proclaim the birth of Jesus. Thanks for reading, Anna-Lee

Sunday, past and present.

Hello everyone that is looking at this,  As most of you know I do OYOA (Ottawa Youth Orchestra Academy). This year I was in Senior Winds Ensemble. The conductor is my actual teacher Shauna McDonald which was great. I love having only one opinion now! I forgot last time to tell you that my OYOA concert was Sunday! It went well, like always there were little mishaps like there weren't enough chairs put out for everyone in our ensemble! That was funny. We played Pictures in a Exhibition, The Titan, and The March of the Dwarfs. My favorite piece we did was Pictures in an Exhibition. It was a very fun piece. My dad figured out how to put videos on our blogs. I hope that all of you can hear it perfectly. Thanks for reading and hope that you enjoy the music, Anna-Lee                                                           This is Pic...

Cinderella

Hello everyone, I hope that you are feeling well. I just got back from ballet and repertoire. It went well. We are working on Cinderella. I am a ball guest. It is a very complicated dance, but I like a challenge. Our first dance is in her dream of the ball. It is a short dance but we do add effect! Thankfully my teacher is happy with us. Our second dance is the real ball. We are trying to get the prince to look at us. It is a much funner dance. We have partners that we dance with. It gets more difficult when you are dancing with a partner because you have to be in complete unison. Our third dance is at there wedding. It is a huge pleasure to be in the wedding. I am super happy about being in it. Thank you for reading, Anna-Lee

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Hello everyone that is reading this, Do you like snow? I know that it can't be winter without snow and freezing temperatures. It just can't, the word winter means cold in my book. I was talking to my Spanish teacher today. You know what it was doing there (in Guatemala) pouring rain, humid, hot, thundering and lightning.  It amazes me how some people never see snow even on Christmas. But us Canadians are so used to it that it feels all wrong when we don't have snow. As most of you know I ski. I bet that this weather is really bad for the ski hills!! I hope that I can ski soon I really miss it. Winter in Canada is so much more different than winter in Florida, and when it is different it feels strange almost scary. Us humans want things to stay the same. We don't like change, I don't like change either. But I can't change that. So I try to be happy with whatever.    Now, on December 14th 2015. This is what it looks like.       ...

Hello everyone, Last week was very busy. I finished the last performance of Sleeping Beauty. It was our very last time doing it. As you know I was a courtier and smoke. Our smoke dance was very interesting as it felt like rush hour with getting cut off and everything. Les Petits Ballets was on CTV Friday morning to advertise our shows. Attached is the link to the video. The best way to see it is on their Facebook. I hope that you enjoy it. https://www.facebook.com/LesPetitsBallets As always we had a few small incidents and again we can laugh at them now!  Our main female dancer danced amazingly. I didn't expect less until I realized that she had the stomach flu. She nearly fainted on stage. It was amazing to see the dedication that she had! One of the advanced dancers fell down the stairs and hurt her toe badly (she lost her big toenail!), then she had to dance on pointe!!! Again our smoke was a disaster at first. We finally got it under control though! Lots of people on ...

Magnificent!!!

Hello everyone, Have you ever not liked people and then realized that you had a bad first impression? I have and I know how it makes me feel to know that I didn't like one of God's masterpieces. Another thing is have you ever felt like you're not loved by anybody? I have too. But now I know that even if there is nobody on earth that loves me, God loves me. Have you ever learned about Abraham Lincoln? If you have not you should. I have learned some stuff over the past couple of months about Abraham. One of his quotes is quite encouraging.          Yesterday I started my week of Centerpoint. My show is this weekend and I am starting to get nervous. Yesterday while we were dancing as dragon's smoke a girl accidentally hit me with her sword in the cheek. I have quite the headache though it was worse last night! There were a couple of other incidents too. I hope with all my might that it will be smooth today and for all the shows.     ...

What do I like to do?

Hi everyone, There is no need to tell you but I have not been feeling very well for past couple of weeks! So guess what I have been doing- #1. Reading, I love reading! Today I actually finished a series that I started Monday!! I have been reading The Caroline Years, it is an add on of The Little House Books! Caroline is Laura's mother! I have read it many times, but now I have read it again! I have also read some biographies of Handel, Newton, and Eric Liddel! #2. Making cards! I have been making some small, cute cards. Not particularly for anyone in mind, I make them for occasions that might come up during the year that need a card for! Now we are always prepared!  My favorite type of card to make is birthday I think. Because there are so many different types of people and they all have birthdays!! Here are some examples of my cards- Love, Anna-Lee Happy Birthday card The inside  _______________________ ________________________ Happy Birthday-Don't...

Israel top to bottom

Hello everyone, Life is good here! I feel pretty much better at the moment and am dreading having to take my antibiotic!! I am very glad that life is good and that brings me to Israel. Israel was fun. That is correct I had fun and at some spots I had more than fun!! I was sick I had mono and pneumonia and I was over tired but God showed me that I can have fun even though I am sick! I really did NOT expect to be sick. God moves in mysterious ways and now I know that God does things to make you come closer to him. Its amazing!! On a different note I have decided to do something fun! Things I can say I did in Israel   1. Ridden 12 hours in a plane (not fun) 2. Eaten ground hyssop (Interesting, very sweet) 3. Been in a tour bus (COOL!) 4. Seen the Mediterranean Sea (windy and very blue, you know how some seas have different colors? This one sure did) 5. Gotten stuck in Tel Aviv traffic (one hour, two hour, three hour you get my point) 6. Ridden a camel in the desert ...

The doctor said

Hello, On Monday (the day after I got back) I went to the doctor to see what I had and what that lousy cough was. It turns out that I have pneumonia, most of the liquid in the lungs is in my right lung. They took an x-ray of my chest, they also took my blood to see if I have mono because I was so tired during the trip and even now. I have been taking an antibiotic and it seems to be helping a bit so far. They also gave me a puffer for emergency uses because I was also wheezy, maybe from breathing in all the dirt in the air before the rains came in Israel ,especially in the desert. I got the test results back today for mono and I do have it. I am now more knowledgeable of why the tiredness feels like it will never end. The mono symptoms are tiredness, aching joints, fever, sore throat, swollen lymph glands, and a swollen spleen. I am going to be tested for a swollen spleen on Monday while at the doctor. I will have more news later, Anna-Lee

I just want to sleep

Hello everyone, I am blogging from Israel! Today is our free day and I decided to sleep and blog. As most of you know I have been sick for most of the trip (actually the whole trip) with a terrible cough. Recently I have started a fever and now when I am resting I know really how tired I am! Today I went with my Mom, and grandmother to a outdoors high end shopping mall. Guess what types of stores they had? They had American Eagle, Zara, Gap, Clarks Shoes, Shoppers Drug mart, and a couple of other ones that I recognized. At the mall along the path were cute little statues of things. There was a ballet dancer that was cute and there was a life size jazz band at the end! At the end we went to a coffee shop and I had a nice rich brownie. Granny had a latte and a couple of pastries. That was a nice little treat. We jut got back from lunch. We had it in the coffee shop that our hotel owns. I was not very hungry so I just had a drink a little salad. My Mom had a big sandwich! I hope all ...

Everything Beautiful

Hello, I feel like somebody is pulling me into learning more, have you ever felt that way? Where you are learning something and just when you feel like you don’t want to learn any more there is something, big or small that you have to learn! I feel that way about history. Did you ever realize that history will never not ever end? Until Jesus comes back that is, but it will still keep on going even then! I have asked am I part of history? The answer is yes you are and everybody else in this world is too. Maybe we`re not in a part of history that is huge but it will be remembered, it will be cherished by people from all over the world for generations. You just got to trust me on that. It will be remembered!! The only thing you have to do to cherish history is to tell people about it, tell your kids and your grandkids. Keep on telling people! You know God created this time for a reason. We are here for a reason, do you think that God wants us to forget everything that h...
